Hari Raya is just around the corner – only 2 months away. I bet many tailors already closed the order for Hari Raya, right?  Oh my. I don’t even buy any cloth for making my baju raya yet. So, how?

Hmmm… actually, I never ‘tempah‘ my baju raya. When I was a kid, my mom used to sew it for me and my sibblings (baju kurung and baju melayu).

And, when I’ve grown up – I was ‘forced‘ to sew my own baju raya. Meaning, I was ‘forced‘ to learn how to sew using the sewing machine.

So, I never worry about tailors closing orders. Because I sew my own baju. Tapi… tak teror sangat pun…kalu teror dah lama jadi pereka fesyen terkenal..ha..ha..

I’m thinking of making a baju kurung (and some gowns) … BACA SELANJUTNYA

And, with the little princess tailing behind, those exotic fantastic places are surely out of reach. At least for the time being.. ha..ha..ha.

But then, I’m not a shopaholic gal. Also not a fashion or branded items victim.

Seriously, I don’t like wasting spending my precious time (and hard-earned money) at the big malls. I only buy what I need. Rarely have an impulse buying.

I can afford things. But, I choose to spend on what we really need. Not, on what I want.

There is a big different between a need and a want. Huge different.

When you need something, you’ll plan to get it. You’ll save for it. But, when you want something. You’ll want that instantly. No money? Just swipe your credit card.

In the end, there is a huge oustanding bills. And, severe headache.

I also don’t have that much energy to walk around a big shopping mall? Not even in a 4″ heels wedges comfy sandal.

I salute those who can shop-walking for hours in a 4″ stilettos! That prove women … BACA SELANJUTNYA

It’s finally over. And, I got to rest my tired mind a bit. At least some peace before having to deal with KPMG auditors coming for year end audit, urgh.

Enough about me. Let’s talk about the little princess instead.

She is such an active little baby. Remember that walker-rocker thing? She’s now an expert in using the walker!

At first, she used to walk backwards but now she can control the walker really good. She loves ‘walkering‘ in the hall, into our bedroom, into the study room as well as steering it through the small corridor to the kitchen!

And, she loves touching everything her hands can get from the walker. I mean everything… newspapers, tv remote control, handphone etc on the day-bed, plastic bags hanging on the display cabinet, the door, the teak chairs, the washing machine, the laundry basket (and the dirty clothes…hu..hu).. and her favorite of all… the curtains.

She is also interested in getting her hands to basket on the floor … BACA SELANJUTNYA

The fasting month is just around the corner. And, so does Hari Raya!

Hari Raya this year is more meaningful to us because:

• we have the little princess to celebrate it with (horay!)
• we’re celebrating it at our new little cottage (finally, we can put the blinking raya lights anywhere that we like – the fence, the car porch, the garden… because our space is very much bigger than the old tiny apartment).

And, shopping for a baby girl’s cloth is actually very (very) fun. I’m dazzled with all those pretty dresses!

I want to buy them all.. he..he..he
