After the injection of the hsg hormone, I waited anxiously for the next 15 days. I prayed hard for me to get pregnant.
I thought I had almost all the signs of pregnancy — headache, nausea and sensitive nipples. I never experienced that kind of nausea before — after eating I felt like throwing up.
But… my prayer was left unanswered. My hope shattered… again… huwa!!
On 6th June 2007, I had my period. Thus, I quickly called LPPKN to set an appointment with Dr K. But, the nurse said, the lab will be closed for one week so there will be no IUI this month.
I went to see Dr K today (8th June 2007) with my husband. The doctor prescribed me with a higher dose of Clomid (100gm insteas of 50gm), Folic Acid for one month and an additional fertility medicine in the form of injection.
And, we have to do the injection ourselve! The nurse taught us how to do it…so my husband will play doctor tomorrow….ha..ha..ha..! Scary..eh.
I’ll need to consume Clomid for 5 days at the same time every day. I’ll need to intake the Folic Acid every day. For the injection, I’ll be injected by my husband once in 2 days, for 3 times.
The medicine for injection is called Gonal-F. And, it was so expenseive. RM318 for 3 boxes of medicine, for 3 injections!
Total costs spent today:
- Visit RM5.00
- Clomid RM40.00
- Gonal-F RM318.00
- Folic Acid RM1.50
Total costs: RM364.50
I didn’t bring enough cash this morning, so I used my credit card. So…remember to bring along your credit card at this stage, because you’ll be surprised how much you need to pay for the medicine.
