We have been living in Meru like more than a year already. But, it never occured to me that we’re living so close to a beach!
I always thought that Meru is located on top of a hill. Because, the road from Puncak Alam to Meru is zip-zapping through some hills. And, there are lots of palm trees plantation here and there. There’s no way for palm trees growing near a beach, yea?
So, when my hubby told me to get ready for a beach trip. I was like, hmm.. where are we going honey, Port Dickson?
He said, “No… the beach is only 10 minutes from here.”
I thought he was joking. But it was true! Pantai Remis – that’s the name of the beach…ha..ha..ha
There were a lot of sea shells scattered on the beach – hence, the name: Pantai Remis. Agaknya la, betul ke tidak, me don’t know la, hiks.
Many kids and adults were playing kites. There were also many shops selling kites, kerepek, salted fish and much more. The beach is like any beach located on this side of Semenanjung, full with brownish sands and black rocks. Can never beat the white sandy beaches in the East Coast – my hometown…he..he..
We have seafood for dinner at Selera Corner, where every fish, crabs, prawns, sotong and kerang were so fresh and yum!!
See picture below: Izzah was waiting for the food that we ordered – kerang bakar (so big and juicy), sotong bakar, ikan bakar and udang bakar. Pendek kata, semua bakar-bakar la…he..he..he.
Aku paling suka kerang bakar kat situ. Kerangnya besar-besar dan yang penting sedap! Kena pulak cicah dengan air asam… phewit…makan tak hinggat!
This is the Selera Corner restaurant and the fresh seafood.
