It’s been two months since I last updated this blog. Been pre-occupied with work, I was forced to ignore my little mama’s diary for a while. Now, I’m back!
To recap, my attempt in June failed eventhough my ovary produced 6 matured eggs for fertilisation. And, I was very (very) sad.
So, we tried again in July 07. This time I did the IUI.
The doctor prescribed me with a higher dose of gonal – 5 injections. When we went for ultra-sound on 13/7, there were 5 matured eggs!
Again, I was so happy with my progress and hoping for the best.
On 18 July 2007, I went to LPPKN early in the morning as usual. For IUI, I was not allowed to empty my bladder, which is so contradict with my daily routine. You see, my habit is to empty my bladder every hour, so the request to keep a full bladder for IUI procedure is quite hard to do (for me).
Imagine waiting from 7.35am to 11.00am for the doctor to perform IUI on me. And, keeping my bladder full? Nevertheless, I managed to do it…ha..ha.
I was asked to go to the 7th floor with my husband. And he must produce his sperms in a small cup for the IUI procedure.
After hours of waiting and nap in between, my name was called. The nurse asked me to go inside the IUI procedure room which has a few beds with pink curtains surrounding each bed.
I was asked to take off my pants and panty. And, lay down on the bed. There was no pillow and it was freezing to the very core of my bone.
And, the IUI was performed on me. And, it was so very painful!!
I detailed out the IUI procedure in another post.
It took about 15 minutes to complete. After the IUI, I was asked to lay down for another 30 minutes.
I was given a medical leave that day which was really appreciated because I feel so tired and went straight to bed after reaching home.
