Luvable Bodysuits (Onesies)

I love onesies very much! It’s an intelligent creation for babies (and mommies).

Apart from it brilliant usage (easy to change the diapers), they all come in so many cute designs. And, I really love seeing baby Izzah wearing onesies with cute “baby-say” wordings on it.

Baby Izzah

I love bodysuits from Luvable Friends because they’re affordable, simple and hmmm…. fun! Tell me if you can resist these….

Onesies

And, these….

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

Onesie or onesize is American English for a bodysuit for infants designed to conceal a diaper when worn. It is also called a creeper, diaper shirt or snapsuit. The British English equivalent is babygro.

Shopping For Raya Clothes

The fasting month is just around the corner. And, so does Hari Raya!

Hari Raya this year is more meaningful to us because:

  • we have the little princess to celebrate it with (horay!)
  • we’re celebrating it at our new little cottage (finally, we can put the blinking raya lights anywhere that we like - the fence, the car porch, the garden… because our space is very much bigger than the old tiny apartment).

And, shopping for a baby girl’s cloth is actually very (very) fun. I’m dazzled with all those pretty dresses!

I want to buy them all.. he..he..he

So, here are some baju raya for baby Izzah (so far…hmmm). Three dresses from Baby Kiko and three from Pepe.

Baju Raya

These 6 clothes cost quite a bomb (almost RM500… luckily I got some great discounts)… If not, there’ll be a huge hole in my wallet.

Secondhand SALE: High-Quality Prefolds

I have one dozen (12 pieces) of unbleached prefolds (premium 4×8x4) from my cloth diaper collection for sale! [SOLD TO FARIDATUL - happy CD-ing ya!]

Prefolds

These prefolds are already pre-washed in hot a few times (to get rid of the natural oil and make it more fluffy/absorbent). And, they are NEVER being used!

Reason for selling : I have too many prefolds (24 pieces) and are only using half during weekends. I prefer to use pocket diapers more.

Here is the package that I’m offering:

Deal #1: Buy 6 pieces - sale price RM30 + RM10 shipping (bought at RM45)

Deal #2: Buy all 12 pieces - sale price RM60 + RM10 shipping (bought at RM90) + some FREE gifts worth RM98!

If you buy all 12 prefolds (Deal #2), you’ll also get the following items for free.

  • 3 micro-fleece liners (for stay dry feeling) worth RM15
  • 1 diaper cover (Bella Bottom size M) worth RM30
  • 1 diaper cover (Thirsties size S for 5.5-8kg) worth RM45
  • 2 diaper fastener (Anakku) worth RM7.90
  • 1 how-to-use guide

Little Izzah wearing prefold + diaper cover

Unbleached means the prefold cloth is in its natural color (brownish). Unbleached prefolds are more absorbent than the bleached one and is also good in hiding stain.

Prefolds are a very economical and simple choice for cloth diapering. They are very absorbent, easy to clean, and quick to dry.

Perfect if you are a:

  1. dispo users converting to cloth - try prefolds first and you might like it
  2. traditional lampin user - try prefolds and you will definitely love it
  3. expecting a newborn - prefolds are perfect to be used on newborns
  4. stay-at-home mom - try using cloth diaper to minimise chemical contacts to your baby bottom
  5. health conscious mother - cloth is always better than disposables

Signs of Being Ready For Solid

Here are a few “signs” that may indicate my baby is ready for solid foods:

  • Loss of tongue-thrust reflex (she was eating like a big gal, can swallow, no spitting or thrusting the food with her tounge - so checked!)
  • Ability to let you know she is full from a “meal” with signs such as turning away from the bottle or breast. This is important so that baby is able to self-regulate the amount of food being eaten. This helps stop baby from accidentally overeating as parents may continue to feed baby thinking that she is still hungry. (passed this a month ago - so checked!)
  • Ability to sit up and hold head up unassisted   (checked!)
  • Interest in your food (she often lick her lips and watch attentively while we’re eating, perhaps thinking why mama didn’t give her some of the yummy stuff, so checked!)
  • Doubling of birth weight (checked!)
  • Frequently waking in the middle of the night when a solid sleeping pattern had been established. This may not be the best indicator that your baby is ready for solids! (baby Izzah sleeps like an angel at night, no waking up just tossing and turning her body)

Budak Comot!

Since most of the signs are checked and the paed also advised to start solid, we gave the little princess the bottled food that hubby bought a few days ago. She likes it so much (the bib and her nose also got a taste of the pumpkin… he..he)

So, now we’re watching out for any sign of allergies. If no allergic reaction, then we can continue giving her pumpkin. And, try another type of food.

* Studies show that babies are highly individual in developing a readiness for solid foods. One baby might seem to be ready for solids at 4 months, while another shows no signs of readiness until around 6 or 7 months.  Just because your friend’s baby may have began eating solid foods at 4 months of age does not mean that your baby should.
